Chamber Chatter
Connections:
A Chamber Chatter Connections is an
excellent opportunity to network with other businesses from the area. This
event is sponsored by the North Tampa Chamber and hosted by chamber
businesses. Only North Tampa Chamber members are eligible to host or
co-host, but the event is Open to the Public! Chamber Chatter Connections
are scheduled on days when there is no other planned chamber event. If you
don't have a location that is suitable for an event such as this or would
just like to share expenses and responsibilities, consider co-hosting with
another member and share in the costs and the results!
Chamber Chatter Connections can be a
"Coffee Connection" in the morning (usually from 7:30am to 9:00am) or an
"After Hours Mixer" in the evening (usually from 5:30pm to 7:00pm). Hours
may vary due to the preference of the member hosting the event. If you are
a member and would like to schedule an event, contact the chamber office
at info@northtampachamber.com or 813-961-2420 to confirm dates, times and
to request a co-host if desired.
There is no cost to the attendees, but
reservations are encouraged. The host(s) provides refreshments appropriate
for the time of day. All attendees have the opportunity to network with
each other. The member(s) hosting has the added opportunity to spotlight
their business in more detail to the entire group and to offer mini tours
of their location or samples of services/products. These events give
others an opportunity to see what the host business does and how well they
do it! The host(s) receives copies of sign-in sheets and business cards of
attendees to make future contacts with their guests.
Don't forget, as an attendee, to bring your
Business Cards to give to those with whom you would like to make future
contact. There will be NO display table, but you may hand out your
Brochures and/or Promotional items if you wish.
Consider donating an item for the drawing.
You will be recognized for your donation and it is a great opportunity to
promote your business. All donated items are appreciated.

Upcoming Events:
Planning Meeting
(Members Only): Tuesday, June 19, Location and time TBD.
The purpose of the Planning Meeting is to prepare for the new fiscal year
by discussing the focus, goal setting, committee forming, meeting topics and
speakers for the general meetings, fundraising and whatever other topics
deemed appropriate for the planning process.
The primary focus of the fundraising portion of the meeting is to discuss
fundraising, decide on potential FUNdrasing events, set a potential time
frame for each event, and determine who will be involved in the specific
fundraising committees. Bring your "thinking cap"! Be creative! Give us your
fundraising ideas plus some general information on how the idea works and
what would be required as far as amount of time, work and number of people
to make it successful. Then separate meetings can be set for the planning of
the various fundraisers and committees.
All chamber members are welcome to attend the Planning Meeting. We
especially want the incoming board and the outgoing board present to help
with the transition process.
