Are you Prepared?

In today's world, active shooter incidents continue to occur at an alarming rate. That is the unfortunate reality of the world we live in. Understanding what to do/not do, if confronted with an active shooter situation is critical and could literally mean the difference between life and death.

We all have the same goals:
  • Survive the Confrontation
  • Reduce the risk that the individual will use the weapon
  • Minimize the opportunity for anyone to get hurt

Officer Sean Mahabir will teach us how to best handle such a situation by discussing the different tactics you could use and sharing some practical guidelines.

A USF alum, Officer Mahabir has been in Law Enforcement for over 15 years. Having started out in the Television industry. He made a career change -deciding instead, to protect and serve his community, when the tragic event of 9/11 transpired. He is currently assigned to the Special Operations Division at Tampa Police Department as an Emergency Planner in the Special Incident Management Unit (SIMU).
